B.A. in Biology-University of Colorado M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction in secondary science education - University of Colorado I am a high school science teacher in the Boulder Valley School District. (I am not allowed to tutor BVSD students, looking to tutor undergraduates or those in another district). I have an undergraduate degree in biology. I completed an honor's thesis and graduated with honors. I also have a masters degree in secondary science education.
Experience
I have tutored college and high school students for 7+ years, and have been working full time as a middle and high school science teacher for two years. I also have experience with outdoor education. My specialty is in biology, but I can tutor in other science classes as well. I have taught middle school integrative science, high school biology, high school chemistry, high school physical science, and was a TA in animal behavior at CU Boulder. I also have experience with outdoor education teaching students age 5-18. I have a passion for helping people learn about scientific concepts and practices. I love helping students succeed. I believe that with a little bit of help, and the right skills, everyone can improve and succeed at school.

Hobbies
Hobbies: In a nutshell, I love sports, the arts, and science. I am an avid skier, and raced from the age of 7 through college. I also love field hockey and was on the CU field hockey team for 5 years. I also enjoy hiking and camping and playing in the outdoors. I love all animals, especially dogs and horses. I also enjoy doing crafts and playing and listening to music. Science and education are passions of mine, which is why I love inspiring my students through my love for science. I also love ted talks, medicine and amateur star gazing. Hopefully I can help you love science as much as I do (or at least pass that class!)
